Wisdom of the Heart A Pilgrimage with the Celtic Saints in Brittany Discovering God in All
Brittany, France: Celtic Brittany
May 5 – 14, 2009 Landcosts $3450*
St. Columbanus crossing Uncharted waters - St. Columb Church
“Understand the creation if you wish to know the Creator…. For those who wish to know the great deep must first review the natural world.” St. Columbanus (CE 543-615) Celtic Saint in Brittany
Discovering God in ALL for the Celtic people was through the holiness of the natural world, pilgrimage, rituals, community and the wisdom teachings of Christ. For the Celts, the greatest unexplored territory was the self as created in the image and likeness of God. The Celtic tradition points us towards a fully alive and present God in All. Inviting us to be fully alive and present to God in all manner today continues this legacy.
“I will be unpacking the beautiful memories from this pilgrimage for a long time. Thank you for an amazing journey.” –Judy
The Memories Linger It is impossible to resist Brittany’s charm and beauty, created through the shifting winds of nature, history and legends. The ancient Celtic culture and traditions woven into this sacred land and its people captivate both heart and mind.
 Mont St. Michel
Ancient wisdom traditions from both the Christian and pre-Christian periods are embedded deeply within the Celtic soul and landscape of Brittany. What makes this pilgrimage unique is that we relate this experience to the deeper wisdom of our own hearts through daily reflections, prayers and teachings as we journey through this sacred land together.
Our well-chosen accommodations in each place range from friendly family-owned hotels in historic town centers to French country inspired rooms overlooking the magnificent Loire River. Each hotel is unique and portrays the great hospitality of the French people. Our hotel in Paris offers a magnificent view of the Eiffel Tower and is in a convenient location to discover Paris.
We travel as a pilgrimage community surrounding all our days with prayer and meditations appropriate to each site. The program is structured to allow for a gentle rhythm of teachings on the Celtic Monastic and Wisdom tradition with reflection and quiet time, celebrations and free time. We pay particular attention to the Celtic Breton Saints of St Patrick, St. Columbanus and St. Samson.
This journey will linger with you long after the pilgrimage has ended.
